One of my favorite parts of blogging are discovering new brands and designers. New talent has a fresh perspective on fashion. This zipper detailed top and skirt are gorgeous pieces by designer Chanho Jang-.
"Chanho Jang's design philosophy is creating concept driven wearable artwork, the label's distinctive textiles are exquisite with elegance silhouette. Chanho Jang's styling is art history with modern technique and concept."
I love the zipper details that create a checkered pattern. There are laser cut square boxes on the shirt as well that follow the pattern and add dimension. The pleating of the skirt is beautiful and delicate, balancing out the top.
This collection is named Modern Baroque and was inspired by:
"the complex lines of Baroque architectures and William Morris’ paintings of floral shapes and colorful palette. The historical influence of Baroque architecture and Morris’s painting is reinterpreted into modern by details of textile expression and silhouette. The textile details of laser cut, weaved zippers and frayed edges embody modernity while paying tribute to the historical periods of baroque and Morris."
