Pink Pant Suit

This year is the year of the power pant suit for women. If you're going to buy something new, this is it! A pant suit looks great on everyone and there's a style out there for you. Whether it's a bold color, stripped, floral, satin, or beaded, this is one set to really invest in. You can wear it to work and even a party. The pant suit is a statement making look for a powerful woman.

Are you guys surprised that my choice for a suit is pink? You all know my love for pink from these previous posts here, here, and here

When shopping for suits, I recommend taking these points into consideration. Fit is key!

1. Find the perfect fit. For the blazer, make sure the shoulder sit at the right place- exactly at your shoulder bone. If you're curvy like me, opt for a fitted blazer that shows off your waist. If you're on the petite side, try a collarless blazer to open up your frame.

2. For pants- I'm all about the cigarette style ankle length pant. It's a great length for both short and tall women. The key is hitting that perfect spot- slightly above your ankle bone. No matter what, don't let there be a fold from hitting the top of your foot. That means the pants are too long. Spend a few extra dollars to get them shortened- trust me, it will make a big difference!

3. Pockets should always stay down. If it's starting to open, that means the pants are too tight. Try the next size up.

4. Always do the booty check. Sometimes I even take a picture from the back to make sure my butt still looks good- not to big or pancake looking like. Also, make sure the pants aren't too sheer.

For shoes, I'm wearing one of springs must have trends. This patent leather sling back heels are perfect for spring. My favorite part is the narrow toe opening. It's so 80s and it's back! Not to mention, they are extremely comfortable because the narrowness helps keep you feet secure. Now, if you're afraid that these will be too narrow for you, don't worry! I have wide feet and they feel perfectly fine on.

Since I can't quite bring myself to invest in one of the new Gucci multicolored bags, I have found the perfect spring dupe. Aldo bags, are affordable, good quality, and statement making cute! This baby blue and pink combo can compliment any spring look.
