I didn't think this bag trend would come back, but it did and I think it's the most successful approach yet. The fanny back/ belt bag is one of this seasons must have bags! I remember I had one as a kid, but it was more of a sporty fanny pack made with waterproof outerwear fabric. It wasn't my favorite bag....
However, it was practical and I think that's why my parents made me wear it.
Thanks to the high end designer house, Gucci, fanny packs/ belt bags are the trendiest bags right now. If you're not into fanny pack/ belt bags or just don't know how to wear them, you're in luck. I'm going to share some tips on how to style the bag. Shop my favorites down below!
If you're not afraid of trying new trends, this is the bag for you. For the girl who's a fashionista at heart, she's all about wearing the newest trends and being seen. Go all out and mix up the look with the belt bag. Try mixing glamour with casual- a sequin skirt or jacket with a t-shirt and jeans. Bump up the look with pumps (bonus points if they match your belt bag)! Top it off with statement jewelry.
Belt bags are great when you're running errands or if you're going to the gym. You don't want to be carrying a ton of items plus it is so simple to throw one on. Go for the sporty-chic vibe and wear a cute pair of leggings, t-shirt, hoodie, and a denim jacket. You can wear some comfy sneakers and maybe even top it off with a hat!
Another perfect time to carry a belt bag is when you're traveling! You can be completely hands free and be able to take pictures, double fist, and really use your hands to talk (I'm totally guilty of that). It is also one of the safest options to prevent yourself from getting pick pocketed.
It's an easy option to wear any season. You can belt it over a summer dress or even over a winter coat. I love the versatility. I style my fanny pack with an easy going pair of jeans and a sweater during my travels. I prefer to wear a shorter length coat if I need to layer so I can zip it up without having to take the belt bag off.
