Three Ways to Wear Pastel Colors

Multicolor Pastel-

When you don’t know what pastel color to wear, I say wear them all! Pastel colors pair so well with each other. Every color compliments each other- mint with pink, lavender and mint, lavender with light blue, and the list goes on and one. I also think mixing colors makes the outfit look a lot more interesting. When mixing several colors together, I recommend wearing accessories like shoes and bags that are either white or pull from one of the colors that you are already wearing.

Purple is often used to help spark creativity as it's a mixture of blue (calm) and red (intense). If a company wants to display health, beauty or security, incorporate these colors. - 99 Designs

Pink Pastel-

One of the biggest tips I have for when wearing pastels colors is to pull one piece that is a pastel color to lift the whole look up. The lightness of the pastel color will help brighten up your whole appearance. In this case, I am bringing pastel pink to mix with the basic color of black. I also think it is interesting when you mix prints with pastels. Pull the focus pastel color and the print together for a cohesive look.

pink is a sign of hope. It is a positive color inspiring warm and comforting feelings, a sense that everything will be okay. Pink calms and reassures our emotional energies, alleviating feelings of anger, aggression, resentment, abandonment and neglect. -Empowered by Color

Baby Blue Hues

When you don’t know exactly how to wear pastel colors, my easiest/ quickest solution is to wear it head to toe. It looks super chic and extra fashionable! You can also pull accessories like bags and shoes that are the same color. I also encourage you to play with different fabric textures when wearing a monochrome pastel outfit- think a knit, against crepe, against wool.

Did you guys know that the color blue makes you feel safe and relaxed? Seeing the color blue causes the body to create chemicals that are calming- evoking feelings of security and trust.
