Wedding Guest Dress
Wedding season is here! Time to celebrate love but let’s make sure you look damn good while doing so! There are so many great options out there today but it can be very overwhelming to narrow it down. I have linked some great options below with a range in price to hopefully make the selection process slightly easier for you!
1. Bright and Bold
Be the guest they won’t forget in a bright bold color. Think yellow, aqua blue, hot pink, cherry red, and kelly green! If there is any season where color should be worn, it is definitely Summer! So don’t be afraid!
When going for a colored dress, I love a fit- and flare silhouette. The shape is simple and flatters any body figure which makes the color the focal point.
Another key thing to keep in mind when wearing a bright colored dress is to keep the silhouette clean. Too many frills could possibly make it look tacky. KISS is a rule I learned a few years back that I listen to at times (not all the time). KISS means keep it simple stupid. The way to dress up a bold colored simple dress is through the accessories. Finish the look off with a pair of statement shoes or stunning earrings.
2. Trendy Gal
There are always so many great trends to hit during the summer so why not dress up in some for a wedding! You know you are going to be getting photographed and possibly even posting a photo on Insta. So let’s make sure you look good for the gram!
Slip dresses and skirts are such a good trend to try for summer! They are light-weight, comfortable, and can be dressed up for a formal wedding! You can wear a full slip dress or make it a two piece look with a slip skirt and cute top. Slip styles look great on any body type- hitting right around the ankles or mid shin, this length flatters any height.
Dress up the look with a statement crop top! You can pull a color from the printed slip skirt or be bold and wear a completely different color- making the full look a really cool color blocked outfit.
3. Floral and Flowy
You can’t go wrong with this option! Summer is the best time to wear chiffon cocktail dresses. The fabric is lighter weight which makes it slightly cooler to wear. Chiffon fabrics also move so beautifully in the summer breeze.
Prints with flowers are a safe yet stylish print to wear, especially to weddings. This Eliza J dress from Nordstrom has such a beautiful skirt that moves so elegantly in the wind. Other guests won’t just be looking at the gorgeous print, they won’t be able to miss you because you’ll look like you’re walking on air the way the skirt flows. The two tone (orange and orchid) coloring is unique and suits many skin tones. Say yes to flowy floral dresses this wedding season!
Thank you for reading!!
