I’m a huge fan of dresses! But at times, I struggle with how to make it cool and contemporary. Do you own a dress you purchased for specific party and never wore again because you felt it was too fancy? Well, me too! Bring that dress back out because I’m sharing three tips on how to style it to become wearable again.

So just how can one make a lady like fancy dress look cool and casual?

Tip 1:

Layer up your dress with a casual jacket. Bomber jackets have been a favorite jacket style of mine for years. I think it’s a classic style that will not go out of trend….ever! A street style jacket like a bomber, cropped denim, or even a utility style jacket will be the perfect finishing touch to go with your dress.

Tip 2:

Put on some cool shoes. The shoes completely change the appearance of an outfit. They start and finish a look. I live in a big city so I constantly try to stay comfortable but being on trend is not the easiest task to accomplish at the same time. Well thanks to fashion repeating itself, sneakers and combat boots are hot for Spring and Summer. Pick a pair of wild sneakers or platform boots to strut in. Tip 3:

Add some modern day jewelry. Right now, the trend is all about layering. Combine some of your favorite bracelets or necklaces and wear 3-5 at once. The more the merrier!
