Summer is one of my favorite seasons for many reasons. One of them being concerts/ music festivals that have you dancing all day and night. These festivals are so much fun to get dressed for. Bell sleeves, cold shoulders, boho dresses, jumpsuits, shorts, fringe, and denim are some of my favorite festival pieces! Here are some looks, click on the image for more details!
There are so many outfit ideas for festivals but it's pretty simple. You just need a few key things. Pick an item or 2 from each column and you're set!
Here I've picked this amazing poncho style blouse with embroidered neckline, crochet shots, western styled wedge booties, and feather accessories.

Festival fashion is all about easy going, natural, bohemian, Stevie Nicks 70s vibes. It's not only about looks cool but what feels comfortable, after all you'll be surrounded by thousands of other people singing and dancing the day away.
Target's Mossimo line just released several items that are festival friendly and super cute! Best part is that every piece in the collection is affordable.
Shorts are a great option for festivals, no need to worry about accidental flashing. These Mossimo shorts are so comfortable with the drawstring and loose fit. I love the printed details on the sides and the little tassel fringe hem!!
I paired this look with a (my favorite essential ) white t-shirt and denim vest. A statement necklace and fedora hat were a must for this look.
I love plaid and I love shirt dresses! This combination was a match made in heaven.
This plaid shirt dress has a punk vibe, so I did "punk" my way (aka with a girly flare). Denim always work great with plaid and these cut offs are perfect for the end of summer. Whether you tie the ends of the dress around your waist to make it a shirt or just wear it as a dress, it gives off a super casual yet cool vibe. I kept it simple with the tank and shoes to let the dress do all the speaking. This hat gives this this look a finishing touch. The best thing about this hat, is that it's an all year round accessory.
Layered necklaces were a must! One of my favorite necklaces is this chain and crystal mix layered necklace! I added a few more simple chains too.
It's the season for shorts! There aren't too many chances of wearing shorts here in New York, so you've got to take advantage of it.
Being a curvy girl, I've learned that it's really hard to find the right shorts for my shape. It's better to stick to longer lengths (not the cut offs where your booty is hanging out). Also, since I have short legs high rise shorts tend to look better because they elongate my legs. Express has a great fit for curvy girls (not being bias because I worked there during college, but really they do!)
Here I've paired these high rise lace shorts with a coral blazer for a pop of color. I love to wear as much color as I can in the summer. I grounded this look with a with flowy white tank and white crystal jewelry.
